13 Years Ago, Prince William and Kate Middleton Got MarriedSee a Rare New Wedding Photo

Congratulations are in order for Prince William and Kate Middleton! The couple celebrated their 13th anniversary on April 29, and to honor the special occasion, they kept their royal tradition going of sharing previously unseen photographs with their adoring royal fans.

The Prince and Princess of Wales's latest photo was taken straight from their wedding day in 2011. Photographed by Millie Pilkington, the image shows the pair posing for a stately portrait while dressed in wedding attire.

Middleton posed in her Alexander McQueen wedding gown—designed by Sarah Burton—her wedding tiara, veil and bouquet of flowers. William wore his Irish guards uniform and gently held Middleton at the waist; both wore a bright smile.

"13 years ago today!" the photo was captioned.

Last year, fans of the couple were treated to a more casual photo of the pair. Middleton and William were photographed by Matt Porteous and posed for images on bikes outside in a grassy field, wearing blue denim jeans, button-up shirts, and sunglasses for the photo op. "12 years," the couple captioned the photo, adding a red heart emoji.

While it is currently unclear what William and Kate will do to celebrate their lucky 13th anniversary, royal experts suspect that the pair will honor their bond and take the time to reflect on the eventful years they've had together.

"Their forthcoming anniversary is a testament to not only their love, but also their unity,” royal author and journalist Robert Jobson told Hello! on April 23. “I’m sure they’ll acknowledge their journey, knowing that their strength lies in being together.”
